Title: HISS Keys

I came a cross an old HISS key topic and may leave my experience with Honda and HISS here.
Bought a VTR with only one key and no key tag. Got 2 Transponder blanks from local Honda dealer for $64.00. Local locksmith cut them for $7.50 each and then the Honda dealer charged $30.00 for programming the transponders. Apart from a lot of hassels it worked out ok and less then was quoted in an other topic.
Hope it helps somebody in need of more keys.

I took my 1100 Key blanks to a key cutter in Warick Shopping centre, he cut them for free, and refused any payment as "It only took a couple of minutes". Its a bit out of my way to go there, but I will return for any key cutting I need.

If anyone needs to borrow the lead to reprogram HISS transponder keys, I have one.

Really easy to do.

Could you put a picture and electrical description on the forum? It's maybe simpler to copy/make one then borrow.
