Title: new twba ST13 owner

been looking at ozstoc for a while and was planning to buy a st later in the year.... well one thing led to another and I ended up buying a local (Toowoomba) 2008 st13 with 13,000km on the clock a lot earlier than expected :grin (picked it up on Tuesday 10th, so it has been ridden for 3 days now)

I do a few km (mostly commuting, but a few long trips), and most of my bikes leave with 200,000-ish km on the clock (current gsxf750 has 220,000+ just about to list it for sale).

I love how smooth and grunty the bike is (I like torque, had FJ1200 in the past and loved it, and so did the misses, she did her q-ride on it!). I do all my own maint, and from what I can see the st will be a breeze to work on.

Looking forward to going to a rally some time in the future

Welcome Dave. If you're in town next weekend you should drop in on the Toowoomba Rally and meet a few of the members. It will be a while before you see that many STs in one place again.

I am busy all of Sat, but if it is ok with others, will turn up Friday evening and for the Sunday ride.

For those wondering, yes I was the one on the Suzuki (gsxf750 with 220,000+km which will be up for sale soon)

Looks like there are quite a few Toowoomba-ites on the list. I'm close by (near Murphys ck), but work in Gatton.

Will catchup on the weekend and thanks for the warm welcome all :-)
