My name is Karol and i am a 31 y.o. male from Europe. I've moved over to Perth for work a few months ago and as soon as I arrived I got myself a beautiful ex-police 2001 ST1100 to tour around WA. 81k on the clock and looking tidy, plastics and paint in very good nick, test ride was ok, no service history but the price was reflecting it so i decided to go for it. Since the day I rode her home she's had:
- a full servicing
- one leaking front suspension fixed
- two new tyres
- a new windshield (the tall one from EagleScreens, I'm 6'2, makes a hughe difference)
- a new RH mirror (previous was broken)
- a 12V socket installed (for the mobile phone)
- footpeg brackets and exhausts machine polished (looking nice and shiny now)

Can't say I don't treat my baby right! I love the way she looks and the way she rides. I still want to add a couple of spotlights to fit under the rear mirrors casings. That should complete the work on my bike. Anyway, I have attached a few piccies of 'Penelope', that's the name I gave her..

By complete chance a few days ago I met one forum member at a petrol station north of Perth who kindly helped me with a small electric problem I was experiencing. His name is Dave and he suggested I register at the forum, so here I am!

That was me, always more than happy to help other fellow riders out and I'm glad you got it sorted once pointed into the right direction!

Looks like you've got a handle on the lingo.
Good to see you're appreciating the fine machine that the ST1100 is.
Read through the Forum posts and you'll find answers to most questions.
It's unsafe to ask about oil or tyres before doing some research on the Forum! :-((( :grin
