I noticed this morning that my internet data quota had doubled, from 500 Gb/month to 1 Tb/ month... for FREE!
... mind you, I have been a telephone customer since 1967, and an internet customer since 1995.
How many others have been offered this service?... or is it a more realistic pricing policy, as we are currently paying the highest internet prices in the world?
Screenshots below.

Has anyone else received this nice bonus?

WHAT do you do to use 500 gigs???
I have a 200 gb plan and use about 12 gb a month.
I'd love to pay half what I pay to get a 100 gb plan ( of which I'd use 205 max).
Or better, pay 25% of what I do and get 50gb.
They're just giving you that data I don't use! :grin

we go through about a 150gig at home, and about 200 at work, simply done with conferencing, movie streaming, and social media

I checked mine last night as a download from Youtube was really slow.....like almost at dial-up speeds.
Still have about 40GB to go over the next three days so my speed hadn't been shaped for going over a 100GB. We have two desktops on for about 15hours (not used that long) a day so it works out to about 30GB each.
Not sure what to do when the NBN sees us going to 250GB for the same cost that we are on now.

Weeeelll..... you see. I'm a movie buff, and I collect movies. It's not unusual for me to download 20, 30 or more movies in one day...
I detest TV commercials during movies, so the TV in this household is that dark screen over there in the corner......
I currently have 15 Terrabytes of storage, but that will increase by another 3Tb next month, because I am running out of room... currently only have 2Tb free space

I also watch a lot of streamed stuff live.... motor sports, mostly
-
... it also explains why I am online and posting at odd hours of the morning while others are sleeping...

Now Netflix had launched. You'll be giving that a thumping haha
-
yep yep!

I saw that advertised the other night. I think I'd much prefer to have a DVD or Blu-ray instead.

Hmmm... mind in overdrive.... Kitty steak?... Moggy sanger?... Meowburger?.... nah!... bettter say no more or I'll have to go to the norty corner again....

What I can't figure out is when you'll find the time to watch all those terabytes of stuff. You're already flat out monitoring the skateboard, bicycle and car traffic in Portland as well as making gif cartoons and resurrecting jokes and contributing to several forums.
I know you don't sleep, but you only get 24 hours in the day like the rest of us!

Easily managed, Bill... its called Multi tasking... I am currently watching 'Seventh Son' on my second monitor. This is while I am posting here, answering emails, and having a coffee. This is the 5th full length movie I have watched since 8 am this morning, the others being Paddington, Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid, Cop Out , and Wild Card.

..oh yeah... I just mixed a batch of yoghurt in the kitchen at 11 pm... that will be transferred to the fridge in the morning.
...and took a pic of the empty packet...
... and washed dishes between movies...

Might watch American Sniper and Russell Madness later tonight/ tomorrow morning... both new releases.
I guess I won't be able to download any more movies soon, as ISP blocking of share sites was introduced to Parliament today.
Maybe they will open a movie theatre in this town, so that I dont have to travel 100 km each way to the nearest theatre just to see a movie?

30 minutes after the witching hour, and in my convoluted and topsy turvey world that signifies sustenance is required.... Roast chicken Drumsticks sounds pretty good as a start for today?
-
oh yeah.. attached pic shows that I have used 300 Gb download in first 3 days of this billing month
-
now... about that roast chicken
(http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s277/cool_blue_ice_2002/cool_blue_ice_2002007/Dscf2328.jpg)
... couple tablespoons of Mayo, couple tablespoons honey, couple tablespoons of Kantong sweet and sour, add a tablespoon of sweet chilli sauce, mix the lot together, and dunk drummies into it.... Try it sometime... tastes pretty damned good!
-
While I love drumsticks, I think I'd need to alternate them with a few other dishes.

Thats another couple of movies I can recommend... must be time for some toast?
Wonder if that slab of beef is thawed enough to slice into steaks?... nope, 'nother couple hours yet....
Might even get some sleep, before the mate opens his shop at 8 am?
Toasted cheese bacon and egg sammies are the go there for breakie, He makes the sammies while I handle the coffee.

Right!... steak is sliced, packaged in twos, and into the freezer again. Not bad.... $17 for the rolled roast beef, and I have cut it into 11 medium thick steaks and 15 thin sandwich slices.
With some luck the extreme winds and heavy rain that has plagued here for the last couple of days is over. Its still too dark outside to see what today will be like, but I can see that the road is still wet and there are rain spots on the window. Wind gusts here yesterday were up to 85 K/hour
-
Back home again after breakfast at mates take-away, and time to feed the cats.
They had a look outside at the wet ground, and wisely decided to stay indoors near the 'cat magnet' for the day.

You're obviously not to picky when it comes to movies then......
