Title: Open-face helmets offer as much protection as no helmet

Well derr, I think anyone could have figured that one out

Your link didn't work. Somehow the numbers at the end aren't included. Copy and paste the whole line works in the browser search bar works though.

In 1970 I tee boned at Valiant sedan about his C pillar and did a forward somersault over the boot landing on my back. There were several layers of fiberglass missing from the back of my open face helmet (very few if any full face helmets around in those days). I have no doubt that the helmet saved me from serious injury.

I think any helmet is better than none at all.
