Picked-up this little beauty on the weekend. I think it qualifies as an ST, if you use some imagination and say eckST600 very quickly. If you don't have an imagination and speak slowly, it's a Yamaha XT600.
This pic was taken (I think) on Olivers Road on the side of Mt Roland in Northern Tasmania on the weekend:

Nigel and Hendo, next time I lead the ride and want to take the dirt route - I mean it.
PS. What happened to Hendo, he's been quiet for a while?

Ahhhhh well done there young fella...................................................I think we have all been a bit quiet of late..now that you mention it..Just before my issues I picked up a Suzuki TS 185 for bush work..doesn`t need a lot..actually just started pottering with it.... Really like the XT`s, just too heavy for what I wanted though, but a great bike.....And your right, if you go bush you will be on your own :grin......Good Luck with it. :wht11

...... a Suzuki TS 185 for bush work......
Ahhh! A Suzuki TS185 was my first motorbike back in '73, orange and black, two stroke, didn't need any oil, a couple of time the donk seized, cooled down, put some oil in the tank and it ran tighter than before, bullet-proof.
.....like the XT`s, just too heavy .....
At around 165kg, it half the mass of the ST1300.
Errrr, how are the issues?

Are you gonna use it for bush, or just zap around on? Something to be different so to speak... Issues are excellent, another month should be it....reminds me I`d better fit my new seat.................. :eek.........................hope to catch the next RTE.................. :wht11

It's primarily for getting to some rally sites that are unsuitable for me on the Mighty ST, eg. Dargo Rally at Crooked River, around 20km of steep, very rough dirt.
And some weekend pootling around the neighbourhood and perhaps up around Kinglake - Mt Disappointment.
Issues are excellent, another month should be it....reminds me I`d better fit my new seat.................. :eek.........................hope to catch the next RTE.................. :wht11
That's good news. Might see you at Tungamah then?
