I wish we could get just some of the rain you eastern shore mainlanders have been getting recently.
We've had rain predicted for the past four days now but so far haven't even seen a drop. We're planning a short ride to Richmond tomorrow and rain is predicted once again..........well we'll just see about that!
I really do wish we could get some as my water tanks are almost dry :( and I don't want to part out $170 yet again for another 3000 gallons..........that's all $$$ that can go towards my new Drift HD Camera that I'm breaking my neck to get!
I won't even mind missing out on a ride tomorrow if it'll only just RAIN!! :cuss

You were spot on Kev :thumb, the rain, if you could call it that, started during the night, but so far it's nothing short of a drizzle :'(
It's just been light misty rain, in fact I walked the dogs in it this morning with just a flannel shirt over a tee shirt and the shirt hardly felt damp. I hope we get some of the heavy rain that many others are getting. We won't be heading off on the bikes today though :(.................never mind there'll be better days ahead!!

Couch,
I know a lot of people take the p1ss out of residents of Tasmania and I could never understand why.
Now I think I know. :o
Why on earth do you take your dog for a walk with it dressed in a "flannel shirt over a tee shirt"? Don't you get strange looks or it this sort of thing quite normal due to the cold weather? :think1
Do you have any other strange habits that you feel the need to share with the rest of Australia?
Have a nice walk,
Dave R :wht13

Hey Dave.............no mate, it's quite normal to walk the dogs first up with them dressed in their tee shirts and flannels, everyone here does the same.........of course they get changed into their sunday best clothes before we take them to church later in the morning though.
Obviously you don't have dogs over in sand groper land :butt

And that's just the dogs. Your ought to see the "humans"!!! :o :fp

Back to blue skies again.............once the wind came up it was goodbye rain, we wouldn't have had more than a few bucket loads in our tanks unfortunately. It was just enough to stuff up our ride.
Who knows, maybe more tomorrow :)...... or maybe not!! :(

Kev,
You've got a strange looking family.
Over here in the West we've evolved a bit better.

It hurts when you smile though.

Frightening as it might be :eek, I look forward to catching up with you one day Roper :hatwave

I appreciate your words of wisdom Kev :crazy..........so on second thoughts I'll keep my distance!! :-++

just use a long hose, Tasy is down hill so all the excess water can just flow down there.

Kev
I guess the subtitle says it all: "The Jewel of Australia, Hobart, Tasmania."
Who is it refers to the family jewels being kept down below?
