So I've been taking a look at few Bluetooth headsets and this one currently takes my fancy :p Now if anyone has one, just a couple of questions I'd like to know. Can I plug in my external earplugs to it though a 3.5 female fitting.
Can I also via Bluetooth sync it with my GPS, phone and Starcom Digital while still using it to say hello to my pillion? Not too much to ask me thinks 8)
Oh yeah, and is the Scala Rider G4 any good or just a piece of junk

Terry
I use the G4
Its great piece of gear the the jack is for input of non bluetooth MP3 players that you cant pair
I have yet to connect or pair with Starcom through the Wire 3 BTA supplied by Dale
-
Thanks mate. they do sound a good piece of gear and if I can use my earbuds they would be perfect. May have to talk to a geek about cutting the supplied ones off and gluing a female 3.5 to the unit

Boy am I clever. They have a website with a number on it for Australia and you speak to someone in Sydney. Answered some questions for me.
You can have 3 other Bluetooth things running as well as the one for your pillion or another bike. Looks like its the go

There are 3 versions of the G4, one of which is aimed at insructors.

and the slightly less costly version

But for me I just want their GPS and hard wire it to the bike.

You should be able to get a female plug fiited to the speaker wires. I am still possibly after one that has that built in, pls can handle wired connections to a CB (or a CB that transmits on blutooth and does PTT). There is a blutooh hub that would do all this, but for a price.

I know it may be a bit late but I thought I'd throw in my thoughts :)
I got the Scala G4 Powerset Motorcycle Bluetooth Headset (2 units in the box - one for me, one for the wife) when I got the bike ($500ish from Team Moto) and we have been very happy with them :thumb
So far we have only been using them to talk to each other (intercom) and have them connected to our phones.
They are very good at speed, its easy to adjust volume on the move and answer phone calls :thumbs
When riding solo or just not talking they can streams mp3 music very nicely, it is easy to use when answering phone calls and I'm told it is very clear on the other end when I'm talking to them (even at 110kph :grin )
Anyway let us know what you go for and/or what you find out :thumb
Cheers
Shiney

Well with all the running around and getting the autocom stuff off Diesel I sat down and read the book of destructions for my sharktooth and guess what.
It is now paired with my
Zumo 660
Uniden UHF cb
Ipod with bluetooth attachment
And I paired my phone to the Zumo.
But still learning a few little things like re-paring the uniden mic each time I turn it on. not difficult so it is what it is.
Now I just have to work out the HID's I got from Diesel.
