Title: Dave on the Gold Coast

Hello all I would just like to introduce myself. My name is David or Dave I answer to both I have just bought a 97 ST1100 after 10 or so years out of the saddle its nice to be back on two wheels. I live in southport and look forward to exploring what is on offer. I have had a few bikes in the past from a GT750 ,ZZR 1100 and a TL1000 now a bit older I like the idea of a nice touring bike that Sharon and I can enjoy. I look forward to meeting some new friends and just having fun on two wheels

Welcome Dave,

There should be a few near you (Near means within a 3 hr ride). If you have any questions about the bike, feel free to ask. However, before asking about tyres or oil, have a good look around the site as these topics arise often and cover the same ground again :popcorn

Hi Dave ,welcome to OzSTOC, great bikes the ST1100 mines a 98 X Qld Police painted Red now, they are a great tourer  and Sharon should enjoy 2UP riding, There is a wealth of info here and you should check out the QLD  :eat Ride to Eat section and meet up with fellow OzSTOCer's..

Also if you have an iPhone or Android there is an app called Tapatalk which makes accessing the forum easy. Especially posting photos.

Welcome Dave. My last ride was a TLR. Will have to compare notes sometime. You won't regret the purchase of the ST. I have the 1300 and you can't wipe the smile off my face every time I am out on it. Catch you out and about sometime.
