Specs say 240V 15A, so its single phase.

Need an eleco to ut in a 15A socket.

Seems like good deal (compared to what I paid for the individual units). This would be ideal for anybody doing small workshop projects (eg trailers).
Make sure of a reliable supply for the consumables, ie TIG tips and shields, Plasma tips, etc as most stuff available here will either not fit/work or is extremely expensive. If you do need some I have links to Chinese factories that supply the originals.

I just happen to have a 15A socket in the carport, from when I used to run an electric boiler for beer brewing.

Thanks STeveo it is on its way so I may take you up on that offer once I get organised with it.

Also with your gas bottle, I was paying a yearly rent with Air Liquide of $230 (medium size E bottle). We have a local tool seller called Gasweld, and they will sell you a bottle ($500 for the E size) that you never pay rent on again, just for the refills. There may be some one similar over there.
