Pfft you know I'm kidding... besides you'll never sell it while all that gold crap is still on it
Super tenere is well worth a look. Suspension, cruise etc etc
But if you aren't enjoying the ride anymore, it makes sense to get another bike that reinvigorates your passion for riding
it is just showing signs of 20 years of rugby, and 10 years of mixed netball, just needs to be managed a little.See, this is why I don't exercise, and my body is now in peak physical form, not an ache or twinge in sight

Thank you for all the replies everyone, I have a budget of about 5-6 grand at the moment so i am a little unsure of what to go for, I am starting with the 650 V-Strom as it has been most highly recommended so far.
But i am open to any and all ideas....
I dont really want to sell the ST1300, but i am getting lots of hints to do it, i hurt my knee again this morning getting it out of the bike shed for a roadworthy..... :||||
Be interested in your opinions as in a similar situation of wanting something lighter for doing the long rides (maybe Perth next years rally). But it always comes back to the ST as being the ideal combination of power, speed, handling and comfort, just a bit heavy.
How was the saddle height. Tippy toes? Did you take it off road?

Did a Bike shop loan it to you for the weekend
Being the inquisitive guy that I am ........ What's the reason your mates selling the vSTrom?
Streak, have you tried a DL1000 just to compare?
