Hi
I have been lurking here for a while (longer than I expected) was going after st11s but an opportunity came up too good to miss so I finally picked up my ex police st1300 this morning. only ridden it to work so far from welshpool and loving it. It needs some TLC and a dual seat conversion. Im located at the north end of the freeway, Perth WA. Maybe see some of you around.

Greetings Bear, from very distant Kinross. You may see me riding around the area, on a white1100.
If you have nothing to do on Sat arvo, pop down to the Burns Beach cafe around 1430 - 1500. I will be there for coffee with the Joondalup Ulysses

A very warm welcome Simon.

The ex-Police ST1300s are very popular over there. You've got yourself a seriously good bike.
Feel free to ask any questions. This joint is thick with experts! :grin

Alright. Here I go again. So far cleaned all the yuk off the fairings
Stripped out leftover police wiring
Refilled the shock hydraulic adjuster so it now works
Changed fuel tank connecting tube
Disabled stupid police key immobiliser
Changed oil and filter.
Changed air filter
Balanced throttle bodies
Changed rear drive oil
Stripped and set up and lubed windscreen drive
Put on new tyres
Found the drive flange bearings were shot so changed them
Converted to passenger mode
Next on list fork oil and adjustment and maybe a topbox and backrest for my passenger if I can find something reasonable that is within my budget (ie cheap).
A bit of paint restoration on the tank too unfortunately.
Oh and ride it.
Hopefully this picture does it justice

Oh no, not ripped out the Police wiring, its so handy for so many things....
Only the final wires to the non existent sirens etc and stray connections to the battery positive. The loom, relays and switch block are still there for any accessories I might think of

Those are the important bits..... :eek
