My shopping trolley was loaded higher than hers....
She could not believe that I fitted 6 x 3 litre containers of juice and milk into one pannier of the 1100, then a 21 litre bag of kitty litter and a dozen cans of cat food into the top box, followed by many and various other shopping items into the other pannier... (admittedly, the bread got a little squeezed....)
... and then I rode away while she was still stuffing her groceries into the boot of her car. :nahnah :grin
edited to fix a spelling error in the subject name.

I used to get plenty of looks when doing weekly shopping for 2 people on the ST1100. It's amazing how much the paniers hold.

I actually had a small crowd once when packing my St out the front of a bottle shop.
I cant remember the exact quantities but I managed to fit 2 cartons in the top box .... 1 still in the box and the other not, a huge bunch of wines bottle in one [pannier and a couple of bags of ice and a few more bottle in the other pannier.
Man the beaST was extremely top heavy with the beer in the top box.
Got a small cheer when all fitted but was a close call at one stage.

I could carry three cartons of beer on my 1974 TX650A: one carton on my knees and tank, and one under each arm of the pillion!

Pillions as good as that are hard to find!

He was brilliant! Even when I got in a drag race with a Sportster, he only kicked me in the armpits to tell me to slow down! :clap :clap and he didn't lose a single can either :rockon but we did have problems when it was wet, as cardboard isn't strong when it's sodden, but at least he tried. :beer :beer
