Title: Golden Oldie Home
Post by: 99gold on October 08, 2015, 10:46:16 PM
Finally I have the old girl after a 2000km enjoyable ride home
Now the restoration of a few minor items & she will be back to pristine original condition
& still under 40000km on the clock.

A couple of items to source
The little cover strip on the LH Mirror that hides the ugly bolts
A LH pannier moulding strip that somehow blew off on the way home
And left & right engine protection fin things.

Back to work on Monday for 5 weeks & scrounge the intenet & find these bits ready for installation.

BTW

The bike originated from Tumet NSW & purchased from The Stable @ Wagga Wagga on the 4th September 1999

A friend of mine bought the bike from Yatala (Qld) 2014

She now resides in Townsville Nth Qld

A real eye-catching machine.
You're obviously going to look after her well, with that attention to detail.
Lucky to find one with such low kays.  Hopefully the ODO is still sealed...

You might have trouble sourcing country specific parts from the US but if a part is still available then either a local dealer or David Silver Spares in the UK http://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/ (http://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/)

Wing cover part numbers are item 20 & 21 here http://www.st-1100.com/st1100-parts-fiche-fairing-st1100ax.html (http://www.st-1100.com/st1100-parts-fiche-fairing-st1100ax.html)
Mirror Filler Panel is item 10 (Gold one) http://www.st-1100.com/st1100-parts-fiche-windscreen-st1100ax.html (http://www.st-1100.com/st1100-parts-fiche-windscreen-st1100ax.html) Same part can be fitted either side

I'm not sure of any moulding on the side cases that would come off but you can have a look here http://www.st-1100.com/st1100-parts-fiche-saddlebag-st1100ax.html (http://www.st-1100.com/st1100-parts-fiche-saddlebag-st1100ax.html) unless it was one of the decals here http://www.st-1100.com/st1100-parts-fiche-marks-st1100ax.html (http://www.st-1100.com/st1100-parts-fiche-marks-st1100ax.html)

Looking at the picture there is a moulding on the RH case but it's not OEM so maybe fitted by a previous owner. Also black panel below headlight isn't located properly or it has some broken tabs on it.
