help needed ..... maintainace on the sunshine coast
« on: December 09, 2015, 10:47:09 AM »
howdy .....

I have had an ongoing problem with my steering and also with my headlights.

I am just not mechanically or electrickery oriented enough to figure out the solution to these issues.

Is there any one on the Sunny coast or with in a few hours drive of the sunny coast who might be able to lend a guiding hand to me for my 1100 STeed?

I will be on the coast from 18th Dec to 23rd dec and then I will be 'off line' until the 2nd Jan to about the 4th Jan.

My main goal is the headlights (low Beam Issue) but steering would be good too.

I am happy to provide beer and pizza for this help and also to come to your place.

If you can help please let me know.

Cheers heaps,

Spanner.

Low beam stopped working  and steering pulls to the right.

I need someone to show me how .

Don't have anything to offer for the steering thing.

Lights could be a few issues.

Lights get their power via the start switch. See Blue/white wire in wiring diagrams here http://ozstoc.com/index.php?topic=8503.msg98043#msg98043 from the hi/lo switch the feed then goes to the respective hi or lo relay

If the start switch gets stuck halfway then there are no headlights. The other possibility is are faulty/dirty contacts at the Hi/lo switch. Dirty contacts at the start switch can also be a cause.
