about 2 weeks ago peterperth poSTed 'WRECKING" after his
was hit and severely damaged. I saw the poST and immediately sent Peter a message inquiring about the R mirror ,cowling and blinker and got a swift reply.
After a ph call to Perth I was given a price, which I actually told Peter I would give him MORE than his asking price for the mirror, we discussed poSTage and I transferred funds to cover sale and mail. Once the funds had cleared into his account, Peter sent a pic of parcel and text to check my address. All good and it left Perth,WA on Friday.
Today Tuesday it was delivered to my place at Picton, NSW.
and I sent Peter a text confirming him of its safe delivery..
About 2 yrs ago I had a little tip over and broke the mirror, the cowling broke into many pieces along with the blinker lens.
I had repaired the cowl, plaSTic welded it, replaced the mirror with a plaSTic temp mirror and clear tape across the amber lens. I then had a tip over in my yard which broke the cowl AGAIN into even more pieces, fruSTrated I used 100 mile an hour tape to put it back together, again.
As soon as I sent the text, I went out to the garage to wake STranger from his drawn out reST. I put MY grey ST1300 outside then STranger out into the sun,
unpacked to parcel, took some pics of the new parts, after I removed the blinker to repaint it, and the mirror.
I got a pic of STranger's heavily taped R cowl before I removed it
and when it was off
I then cleaned the replacement ready to paint it Hammer finish silver like the other side. I primed it and then discovered the spray can had loST its pressure and wouldn't work.
so I decided I'd also repair the HID I broke after an oops, (disc lock tip over,MORE TAPE),,, on my way home from the National Rally Perth 2016. I plaSTic welded the casing, successfully
oops forgot a pic here.. I'll buy another spray can tomorrow and paint the cowl. Then I put STranger back together again WITHOUT TAPE..
I'll clean the glue off after I paint the cowl tomorrow and STranger will be almoST back to normal.He lQQks good without tape.
