thursday I spent the afternoon converting STranger's seat and pod back to the duel seat to allow him to carry my Weisshorn SWAG I recently bought. Checked fluids and filled his tank from my 20ltr gerry can I had when fuel was a little cheaper. checked the panniers had all the things I may need ,, and made sure the 100mph tape was all STuck down .. ready to go
Friday morning I left home and headed thru The Oaks, Greendale, Warragamba,Mulgoa Castlereagh to Richmond, where I turned left and crossed the Nepean River and headed up Bells Line of Rd to Comleroy Rd and then headed across to the Putty Rd. turning left out of Blaxland Ridge Rd.
heres a couple of pics along my favourite local road, the Putty.
get out of my way
about half way thru the twiSTy's at Bulga end of the Putty I came across
who was travelling at well below the poSTed limit thru the bends so I didnt enjoy the beST bits as I normally would, and we followed him to Milbrodale.
I stopped as planned to meet up with Diesel, Onesie and Wendy here at Bulga,
so I STopped briefly and had no ph signal so I carried on into Singleton as discussed if not here, to meet at the Woolworth servo.
As I waited and managed to get a signal I found out the Diesel TT was Still about an hour away and it STarted to rain.
I managed to get a signal, AMAYSIM isnt so good in places, got hold of Onesie and found they went to a different servo so I rode around to join them. the rain muST have got into my little el cheapo cam so no pics following the guys out to Grey Gum Cafe for the flag raising.
I arrived firST at Grey Gum, hmmm I wonder how that happened
and found these 3 fellow OzSTocers waiting
Ruben on his new STerioded ST
JuST Peter and Natman
I had Cauliflower and three cheese soup with sourdough and a big coffee,
to support the great people at Grey Gum Cafe.. no pic though. Before leaving we discovered Wendy's Grey ST13 had a flat tyre so STranger came to the rescue and a temp fix we were on our way, Onesie left a few mins before the reST of us and it wasnt long before we caught up. Unfortunately on the journey back to Onesie's home I dont know how but I managed to take 1662 pics that are BLACK with juST a date and timeSTamp
Onesie's and crew put on a great feed and excellent hospitality for us all, and an enjoyable evening was had. I set up my new Swag under the trampoline for the night, and Diesel and Wendy slept inside, I'm sure someone else will show Wendy's other little snooze beside the fire.
it was 1 am when I decided I needed to be horizontal and climbed into my swag for the firST night sleep,,, that didnt happen... with forgetting my night time med,, sleeper pill, and 3 rooSTers that crowed back n forth till dawn then shut up.. so yes the swag is comfortable enough, STopped the wind and will be good for a kip beside the road,,
Saturday morning was slow and around 11.30 I lead Diesel and Wendy along Richmond Rd until I waved them on towards the Bells Line of Rd heading toward West Wyalong, and I headed back to Picton via the Northern Rd and Mulgoa Rd Greendale The Oaks and home, where I went to bed for 4 hrs with a pounding Headache.
Sunday morning I had a call from Onesie, who told me of the adventure into the floods that Wendy and Diesel had, and offered a Plan B for Wendy.
About 6.40 pm Sunday Wendy arrived here at Picton and unloaded the ST and repacked her bags, we Left at 7pm and I delivered her safely to T2 at Sydney Airport for her flight home to Darwin.
and I have My Grey ST1300 sharing STrangers den, til Onesie can take possession again..
It was great to be part of Diesels TT multi RTE adventure and hope the reST of the tour has better weather, lots of others join in to farewell Diesel OFF the mainland.
