My Eulogy to my Brother-in-law.
« on: November 27, 2016, 05:46:36 PM »
I don't know where to put this, so mods, if it needs moving please do.

On Saturday 19th November, my brother-in-law, Simon Reed aged 43, died in Motorcycle accident west of Townsville on one of his favourite roads, the Hervey Range Road. He was killed when he ran into the back of a ute going in the same direction up the mountain.

He wasn't a member of OzSTOC, but like all of us, he had a real passion for bikes, sharing knowledge and teaching others to ride. He rode a Suzuki GSX1100R, had full leathers, helmet and gloves. He wasn't a saint on the road, but taken way too soon.

It's not often you get a Brother-in-law that you can treat like a brother, and share common interests with. He was living with us and looked after our son when we had to go to hospital when our daughter was born. He stayed with us until she was learning to walk. So or kids have a soft spot for Uncle Simon.

This past week has been surreal, first disbelief, then tears, then laughter remembering some of his antics. More tears and more laughter.

We in our family, are all going to miss Simon very much.

Please don't bombard Ms Gadget with condolences as she is still very fragile

We are traveling up to Townsville tomorrow and coming back on Thursday night.

His funeral is at the Townsville Crematorium at 11:00am on Tue 29th Nov 2016.

We love you Simon and will miss your dry wit!

RIP

Cheers,
Gary

This place will do fine.

I will lock the thread, to keep it quiet. Unless you contact me to re-open.
