He has a Toyota as well.. The in laws Toyota was damaged by the same hail. Its not fussy.
It may be fortunate as he has one vehicle to many. Including a truck which may need to be supersized to carry bigger spider lifts.

I wonder how many unhappy Ford Ranger owners may be tempted to park their vehicle in long grass.  I reckon that there may be more than a few.

This is not new, has been happening to drivers of all vehicles for many years, especially in spinifex, the exhaust is the main problem, I fail to see how Ford or anybody else can prevent it

Didn't used to be a problem with diesels until they started using the particulate filters !! Soon won't be able to drive up the paddock in Summer for fear of starting a grass fire. Back to Horses.

Haven't set fire to to any grass, or the BT50.

I did manage to put some bush pinstriping on the car yesterday, and got bogged on the beach twice. Winched out once ( took a winch of 6 inches, and the wheels could work again), and a dig out by hand the second time.

Gotta love 4x4ing, but the learning experiences can suck. The cleaning of sand out of the cabin sucks as well.

That's where the real "sucks" come to the fore- vacuum cleaners!    :grin
