ST1100 Windscreen
« on: May 25, 2020, 12:03:00 PM »
Hi
I am replacing my windscreen on my 2001 ST1100 with an Eagle Screen from here in WA. Im confused about whether to get the Cat eyes vents or not. Can I have peoples thoughts on this please, both pros and cons. Also thoughts on Clear or Light Tint.

Thanks in advance.

Have never had the 'cats eyes' in any screen I have used so cannot comment on that. I like my screens to be level with my nose (so can just see over the top) and as wide as my shoulders. I prefer a light tint to help with sun reflection. Have mainly used 'Screens for Bikes' from Melbourne.

I have a ST1300 from cali scientific screen which have 2 triangle cut down near the bottom of the screen
They equalize the preasure behind the screen and cut turbulence so  :thumbsup from me

Leo, I think a pic would be good, probably worth a 1,000 words.

Replaced my screen on the 1100 just last week, had a crack and scratched badly (over 10 years old)
I got the tall one with the cats eyes, as there is less wind buffeting. Makes the whole bike look new again.

With the taller screen, most rain and bugs are deflected over the top of my helmet while riding, I can ride with helmet flipped up.

The cats eyes = less negative pressure behind the screen = good!
