Fried ST1100 starter relay
« on: November 12, 2024, 05:45:45 PM »
Bought an ST1100 on Monday and it died on the way home. My research led me to the RED wire fix but when I took it apart I found the whole starter relay is beyond fixing. Where can I get a new one in Perth (quickly)

Member Lawrence has plenty of ST1100 parts, I'll see if I can find his contact details.

Reckon there's your solution.  New assembly is around $650, being in stock will be doubtful, and delivery will be a week or more.

Got a starter relay from wreckers for $45 including red connector $50. Soldered in a new thick RED WIRE and 30amp fuse

All good started first time :-)
