Good onya Michael & Martin!  :clap

Hopefully the protest makes a difference although there hasn't been a lot of media coverage from what I've seen, or should I say, haven't seen...

Channel 7 were there, Nick McCallum was the reporter / presenter, so I watched Channel 7 News last night, the segement was early in the 6:00pm News.

Will it make a difference?  Hard to say.  But given that ALP Government have not done much to adequately address the state of the roads to date, it's unlikely that significant improvements can be made during the next 10 months (until the state elections) as I know how long road repairs and maintainence take.   What is now needed is more than pot hole patching (that's a bit like putting a band aid on a gun shot wound), as large sections of road have failed, major rehabiltation and / or reconstruction is now needed - this takes time, huge $$ and contractors need to be available.

In my experienced view, 10 months isn't enough, the $$ aren't there (without going further into debt) and contractors have been sucked into Victoria's Big Build.  The latter was predicted back as far as 2018, and talking with some former colleagues a couple of weeks back, it is still a problem.  It's supply & demand - when contractors are available, their rates sky rocket, it's a costly vicious circle.

Yes, I saw that...I actually posted a link to it earlier in this thread. (Reply #23)

As for online news such as the ABC, 9news and News.com, not a mention as far as I could see... :||||
