What are the intervals between services (let just say I lost my book and have no idea)

I did the first service
I did the 12.000.

I just got text message back

So I think I did the 12K service twice plus a set of tyres...

I think it is the same as the ST11, so 12.5k is oil, filter, check things, 25k is valve check and adjust if necessary. Some other things like brake and clutch fluid are time/distance based.

I like the "Cost just $929.25". What planet are these people living on when $929 is referred as JUST anything?????

I know right? that was including a set of tyres... and why can't they round it up to $930

For comparison, my 12,000km book service at Adelaide's Honda World in mid 2009, cost me $296.30 (without tyres).    By the book, the service interval is every 6,000km.

Got two schools of thought here.

1. TOOWOOMBA HONDA are good supporters of our club and give us a group discount, they have done major services for me, and plenty of other work and I can't fault them, pricing is fair and I have never been able find a short cut or less than 100% Job done on any work done.

2. Depending on what you want to do, doing it yourself is actually not to hard on the ST1100, I have leaner to do most of it myself, with my local bike shop doing the work that is over my head, and there are some great guides to doing it yourself on our website

Thanks Streak.  I'd actually like to talk to some of the guys before I race off tipping buckets of money into someones pocket. Nothing appears to be urgent just yet so I've a bit of time up my sleeve to gain some knowledge.

I used Prohonda at Rocklea for a while.
Couldn't recommend anyone more highly than Steve the service manager.
Got a coupla cluey techs too who come out and explain what they have done and why and kick arse if you haven't been doing the right thing.
Now I find the bloke at Prohonda in Kunda Park here on the Sunshine coast alright for those north of Bris.
Local traffic branch police use them.

Also, there used to be a private guy in the side road off Pickering Street, Enoggera. I remember some guys reckoned he was good at tuning fours. Any news of him?

Hi Brock.
Team M have moved to Pickering St over the rail line, just as you come off the bridge exit and to the T intersection at Pickering St.
That whole intersection is up for a redo. Council have bought a stack of houses and shops on, and either side of the corner of Wardell and Samford and are in the process of pushing them over, or moving them out.

Hi Wild Rose. Smiling at the thought of making the service a day trip up the range. Drop the bike off and go play coffee house tourist for a few hours.
