Sargent Seat install 1st impressions
« on: May 02, 2013, 10:17:56 PM »
6 months ago I spent $90 on a professional OEM seat modification (re-foam, sculpt, bucket etc...) with "OzTrim Alan's" at Ringwood, he did a great job BUT...
I was still having sore inner thighs and pain so....

I just received my new drivers seat (did not need the pillion)
"Sargent world tour" seat from "Riders Discount", $340+$70 shipping and 3 weeks to arrive.

The seat quality and build appears to be better quality than stock.
The base pan is significantly WIDER for my big  :butt  and the black carbon fibre FX style with black welt looks great!

First impression was, "oh crap, this seat is hard as a rock" but I forgot of the seats existence after a 2 hr. ride, comparatively I could only manage 40 min on the my stock "customized" seat.

The Sargent seat is much firmer and has very dense supportive foam which makes it feel a bit sportier.
It will take time to get used to, no doubt.
Also, it doesn't push me forward, towards the tank, like the OEM did and hopefully, it will be more comfortable for my  :spank

Same with mine - Very good from the get go,  :clap and that was with a goodwool seat cover fitted. It was amazing how many more kms I could cover just by changing the seat. My pillion loves the wider more supportive seat as well :thumb

Cheers :slvr13
