Latest drivel from the local government
« on: November 01, 2013, 09:00:32 AM »
Sorry guys, but I can't get over this one!!!

http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/queensland/bikers-asked-to-give-police-notice-of-rides-20131031-2wm1l.html

Now you are expected to ask for permission to actually ride your bike from anywhere to anywhere at any time for any reason.

Welcome to Auschwitz!!!

Are these people for real???
Cheers,
Paul

Here's another example:

I still say they will only target Harley riders

But wait there is more This could be coming to a state near you soon. From reports on the news other states are closely monitoring this legislation to see how effective it is in cleaning up the omg problem.

Damn, I'm just about to ride my bike down to the shops.

As the hotline number hasn't been advised yet, do you think I'd better ring 000 and let them know I'm on the road in my white 2002 ST1100P?

 :wht11

Or perhaps I'd better ring the local cop shop.  If we all registered our every ride at the local police station, however insignificant, I'm sure the Police would see our side of the issue, afterall we're all law abiding citizens who just want to help in this fight against organised crime and have a bike ride without being harrassed.
At my age you realise something very important, then ten minutes later you've forgotten it.

I don't want to have my tatts logged, stopped to be identified as a "good" citizen, I've done no wrong so why do this to me. now these people (who need to be stopped) are now in cars! so are all cars going to be subject to the same treatment. as usual one or two bike riders (bikies) spoil it for the rest of us but also on the other hand the one or two over zealous or uneducated cops to do the same thing for there majority.  I like what you described Qld
Welcome to Auschwitz!!!
is the next going to be corrupt politicians as you still have them in there and as proved you CAN make a rushed law to solve a problem!!!!!!!!!!
I don't think you'll do that

on the other side these new laws can make it easy to suppress anyone or group the government of the day does not like or agree with for any reason "good or bad"

I guess this takes Queensland out of the scenario for future Ozstoc rally's

So at what age does this "old enough to know better" kick in?
I believe in the "hereafter", every time I go to the shed I have to think "what am I here after"

The trick, is to ring them every time you get three bikes together, and over load the system. It will soon stop.

just saw this posted to my Facebook page

Quote
So they say "club members" can't gather in groups of more than 2 members with their club colour's on in public or even in their own "clubhouse's". Good, it's about time the wife beating, girlfriend glass'ing drug taking, wife swapping, sometimes gang raping "foottyheads" thugs are taken off the streets and out of the pubs! Maybe my wife and sisters can go out a see a band without getting hit on by them and not get worried about getting home safe!
Thanks, what's next, freedom of speech!
