Pockey Pegs
« on: August 21, 2013, 01:22:44 PM »
We have been looking for some time on how to make Pockey more comfortable with the pillion foot pegs......lowing extensions brackets are no issue to purchase, however due to the proximity of Pockey's a$$ to the footpath we needed to look at raising the pegs about 1.5"

So when Oddessy Rider formerly ST1300EVE bought his ST1300 a few months ago it came with some multi-adjustable Kuryakyn pegs that according to the Australian distributor are not made for the ST, but are made to suit a different model of bike.

The pegs Steve found to interfere with his legs some what...... Steve's wife is somewhat taller than Pockey so the pegs where in a forward and lower position, we have installed them in a higher than standard and more towards the rear, so let the trial begin !!!

can you give a side on pic, so we can see how they sit in proportion to the road?

It looks like the offset or distance from the frame should alleviate that. Will Pockeys legs stretch that far away from the bike?

Correct and Yes......but this is all based on us sitting on the centre stand, Pockey so far is happier than factory, but again this is 5 mins in the shed.....not the real deal. Time will tell on that front, moved the bike about the shed whilst seated and found less chance of striking the backs of legs on pillion pegs as they where higher and wider than factory.

"Off call".  That means he can take photos.
"On call" means he has to sit in front of the TV with the phone by his elbow.

What's the problem?

For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott
