Left hand side cover
« on: November 23, 2013, 07:22:09 PM »
How do u safely remove the left hand side cover on st 1100 and more importantly getting it all back on without undue stress to it. Concerned that it seems harder to put on then take off. Don't want to damage it. Appreciate any advice.

Take it carefully, and everytime you take it off use some rubber grease (you can get some PBR stuff that is also good for break rubbers) on the pins and grommets to make it easier to get on and off.  Lining up the pins and grommets at the front while juggling feeding the centre stand handle through the cover is a bit of a juggling act.  A few of my bits and pieces were broken off before I bought the bike, and I have prevented anymore going that way.
