So I've just got a puncture in my rear tire
The guy at the service station at Strahan TAS said he doesn't want to take the wheel off but if I could do it then he said he'll repaire it

Question is. How do I get the rear wheel off?
Is it easy?

Two options......
1. I've sent a PDF of the Owner Manual to your e.mail address, describing removal of the wheel.
2. Purchase a "sring" type 4WD puncture repair kit from the servo and use that to plug the puncture with the wheel still on the bike.

How big a puncture is it. A tyre plug may be able to get you out of trouble, and there is no need to remove the wheel to do it.

We have chatted by Phone......and he is going to get paid out on So Bad for not taking a tyre repair kit.....

Closest bikeshop is Burnie (per Will ST) lived at Queenstown......

Get a puncture repair plug kit from the servo and plug it. Easy.

One of the gummy worm puncture repair things will work fine, if the garage has any.

Well the small servo does have a worm repair kit to sell him

and will repair on the bike for him........

There is a canned product called Zoosh, it pumps a liquid solution into the tyre and re inflates it. Supposed to distribute inside the tyre and plug leaks as the wheel turns. Suggested that this temporary repair is fixed properly within 50? miles.
I used a can of this stuff when cruising WA in 1974, picked up a screw on the road near Karratha, but didn't repair the tyre properly until I reached Carnarvon, almost 1000Km down the road.
Its a bit messy to clean up inside tyre and rim afterwards, but washes out with water.

Not sure if the product is still available, tho...I purchased mine from a servo. Was a bright blue can with yellow signage, about the size of a can of flyspray

This is just one example of tyre repair kit......I use this one myself with a small compressor.....I also carry worms and C02 cannisters x4.

I carry the C02 if the compressor fails.......but I carry the compressor as if you rely on the C02 catridges alone and your repair is NOT succesful you dont know that until you have used your second cylinder.......and now dont have enough C02 left for reinflation after you repair your first attempt.

There's enough carry space in the two panniers plus a top box. I carry a tire repair kit with 3 x CO2 cartridges plus a foot pump. If I was cramped for space, I'd dump underwear and clothes before I took out my foot pump.

So mechanic helped me out with this repair kit. Looks like it's worked.

I'll call into a Honda place in Hobart tomorrow to get it checked out. Turns out it's a public holiday in Hobart today so can't ring then now

At the Honda shop now. They are taking care of me. Had to put more air in the tire this morning before heading to Hobart. The road in and out of queenstown is the bees knees. I just with I wasn't nursing a crook tire and I wasn't trying to get to Hobart by lunch to give the guys enough time to fix today. Oh well. At least it will be fixed. Amazing place to ride btw
