I got up early Saturday morning and slowly got ready and then after a FB message from Foot, we arranged to meet at opposite 7 Eleven on Dohles Rocks Rd to then ride down to the Caltex at Goodna meet up with the Social Club crew.  When I got there Chris and Trina were waiting with Foot so we had a small group to ride to Goodna.

For something different we chose to ride down Gympie Road and through the Tunnels to the Ipswich Motorway, which was a new experience for Chris.  At Goodna, after we'd all refuelled, had some Breakfast/coffees we had the riders briefing where we were informed of the planned stop at Aratula for morning tea at the Bakery and then down to the Clifton Arms for Lunch (fabulously renovated) and then into Millmerran by around 3.

All went pretty well according to plan with some really nice country roads to keep us entertained as the group of 18 bikes made their way to Milmerran.  At each of the stops the two comedians of the group Irish and Marty had us all in stitches with there banter and jokes.  I was laughing so hard at one stage I started to cough.

The line up at Clifton:

The afternoon was spent having a good old fashioned chin wag at the Mill Inn Tavern, and a few quiet drinks and more copious laughter and jokes while we waited for dinner.  During the afternoon a band called "Dirtywater" started setting up ready for the night.

There was a local car club the "Gore H'way Cruisers" having their Xmas dinner there as well and the had most of the outdoor area cordoned off for them.

Dinner time rolled around and the $20 smorgasboard was quite nice but didn't feed all of us before it ran out, so some members had to order off the menu.

After-dinner that they had started tuning up, and were soon in full swing out on the verandah, playing some oldies and some modern music is well. Some of the members danced and had a great time and some of the locals joined in.

Front Row seats to watch and listen to the band.

Viseo of Irish being his usual shy, retiring itself.

All in all it was a very great night of side-splitting laughter, great companionship and fantastic company.

I wish some of you could have been there to share it with me.
Cheers,
Gary
