Interesting concept.  Can't see it making a lot of money as an ROI.
Might be too close to "impersonation" for some Coppers.

Anyway, they're Beemers...  nothing to see here, folks!

My suspicion is they are ex movie vehicles from some movie shot in Sydney that was set in NY.

The BMW bikes are part of a movie set, the remake of 'The Taking Of Pelham 123" so this site says. http://theerant.yuku.com/topic/4448#.VIw8wEL9mUk

The colours etc. are the same for other NYPD cars and bikes too.
