2014 Air Show in Cameron
« on: June 09, 2015, 09:25:19 PM »
This is an Air Show in Cameron, a small rural town in Missouri.  The pilots, bike and truck drivers and the photographers are all nuts !

This doesn't border on crazy, it IS crazy! Hold on to your desk, chair, whatever!  Best viewed full screen with a HD monitor. This one is waaaay more than just an airshow!!!    As GOOD as it gets!!!

Mad risk taking!  Even the opening gambit with the three planes doing doughnuts inside a smoke screen invites disaster.
The night segment with all the strobes is really effective- and very challenging for the pilot.

For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Never thought of a Beech 18 as an acrobatic aircraft.  :eek

It's sure to have been modified.
Another unlikely contender is Bob Hoover with his Aero Commander.  Flown engine-out through a perfect routine to a parking spot!

That's pretty good flying. As he said, "keep up the airspeed and it will fly".    :thumbsup
