A galaxy tab in the top of a tank bag would make a good GPS (if it had a stand alone GPS instead of assisted) cos I could see it with out glasses..  :thumbs :thumbs

Thread Back on track, sort of..

I too won't buy an I phone, android is the future.

I have a Sygic app on my Motorola Defy+, works good but like all of these devices when using GPS power hungry.

Even car and dedicated Gps need to be powered otherwise not last long.

Mines plugged in to bike power  in little water proof pouch I got of eBay for 20 bucks.

My comms is a Nolan N102 head set with blue-tooth, I brought a Tom-tom via 160( blue-tooth  and cheap) only to discover Nolan is limited GPS compatibility, mainly garmin, Tom-tom rider etc.

Me think Strike GPS may work with Nolan, I believe there is different levels of blue-tooth tis why no work with VIA 160.

Hey Kappy...............I'm interested to know why you believe android is the way to go and why you wouldn't buy an iPhone??.

I know nothing about android.....I'm just interested to know!!

I too won't buy an I phone, android is the future.

Apple control what apps you can load on to your phone, Android doesnt. Anyone can make an android app and put it out there without interference.

Also, you dont need itunes to load/download. :thumbsup :thumbsup

I don't know much about anything really, but the internet tell me that Android is the future for a couple of reasons.

Android is driven by Google, I phone are apple. Google's everywhere apple isn't.

I have an I Pod driven by Itunes (apple) there is music on my Ipod that I brought but find a simple way of taking it off or burning to disc.

Then I brought a HTC desire (android) and by mistake was playing and manage to take music from Itunes direct to my Desire, did the same with my New Motorola (droid).

Aslo seems that there is heaps more free android apps than Apple, only what I'm told by some I Phone owners I know.

I Phones may sell more at the moment but the experts say than will change.

Mainly I don't like the freedom that apple  :nahnah doesn't give you.

My  0.02C worth
