There's two sides to putting a story like this out.
1. It advises us owners the need to be more watchful
2. It advertises to those that have an inclination to take a bike/car etc. another means on how to do it.

This is a worrying thought that technology is allowing low lifes the ability to be lazy as well and criminal.
