I think you would need to have several points in the tally such as:
Year:              2005 (10 years)
Distance:      121,000 (before its demise)
Annualised:  12,1000 km/year.

I know of a 2010 with only 10,000 km or 2,000 km/year
Cheers,
Gary

1999 ST1100A 16 years old but mine for last 9.5 years

181341 km  Average since new is 11334 km.

My use average is 17,878 over 9.5 years but only 60,000 km in last 5 years (12000 average) or 24,409 km average in first 4.5 years.

Interesting quote, its that balance between riding for the love of it and thinking of the resale value. The older I get the less important the latter becomes..

Actually this comment  is alluding to me driving to a number of RTEs in the car. This has been for many different reasons. I am trying to improve the ratio of bike to car trips.

2004 ST1300

80,000 just clicked over on the weekend

annual average 7272 k's per year

bought in 2009 with 30000 k's originally purchased new in SA at Peter Stevens, the owner relocated to the Gold Coast where I bought her in 2009 for $13000. I suppose technically I'm the 3rd owner as the original owner passed away in his 80's and the bike was left to his son who sold it to me without riding it very much, I believe only a couple hundred k's were put on the clock by the son who had his own motorcycles to ride (X2)

She was a total clean skin when I bought her not a farkle in sight, not even a topbox, just as she was ridden out of the showroom.
