Broken Head is North of Wooli

It has a caravan park and then a dirt road up over the headland. Ordinary cars get up there. You walk through rainforest, down steep tracks which opwn up on to isolated beaches.

Thanks; I had a look on the map and a little out of my way as I'm planning doing the coastal route south to maybe Sydney/Wollongong area before heading west back home.

I can recommend a detour into South West Rocks and Trial Bay Gaol.
Trial Bay Gaol was a convict Gaol and POW camp in WWII.

Beautiful spot with lots of accommodation options.

Awesome time. I just got home at 3pm Covered the first 308k to Glenn Innes in 3 hours and 8 minuets so I decided to be more law abiding on the Newengland. Not a drop of rain.

Thanks for a good rte all. Lane's backside has just about recovered :-) we both really appreciate onesie for sorting dinner, and good to see a few new(to us) faces, and plenty of old ones.

Wow you get good milage on the blue beast (much better than I ever did

)

Anyway, I had a great time, a nice leisurely ride down followed by a great lunch and catch up with the guys and gals

After lunch I led Crocman & Draco7 to the caravan park where much merriment was had

We then all had an awesome dinner (put on by Onesie, what a legend

)

After a bit more chin waging I headed home through patchy rain.

All in all it was awesome

Thanks to all those who attended the Sulks ride on the weekend.....awesome as always to catch up

Well done Shiney for selecting a great venue

We headed down Friday Arvo after Pockey finished work for the day.....the 39 degrees around Grafton played havoc with a couple of kids from the mountains who didn't wear their LDcomfort stuff....so we filled our pockets with a few handfuls of ice cubes from the icebox in the camper and it worked a treat

Camper was up after we evicted the Grey Nomads playing Boule on our patch

They enjoyed even more seeing the camper and what it contained unfold from its tardis like belly......

Storm that night made for a super nights sleep......something about rain on canvas that just works

Gadget was already in camp with a few members starting to meander into camp Saturday morning....

Byron is always a busy place with shoes and shirts optional.......the venue was a ripper with brilliant coffee, we rarely have a second and even considered a third.

The Onsie family put on a sensational meal that night as they have in the past.....that lad is passionate about meat

You must ask Pockey about the frog and that suprised her in the annex of the camper.......size of a house brick she squealed !!........she even squealed more at the docile frog than the mouse shed shared the camper with that night that came in from the rain.

Our return journey was great up through the Grafton-Armidale road and its 45k's of twisties.....good fun even with the camper chasing us up the hill......the odd minor shower that lasted a minute or two, but not enough to bother with wets.......we wished we had though when fortunately only 30k's from home it opened up with Rain and Hail for 5 mins withe temp dropping to only 10degrees. So a from the heat of Friday to the soggy wet'n'cold jocks of Sunday

Oh Brock? Might need you to review someone's membership for the crime of desecrating a sacred sight. Dunno who the culprit was, but if you smite EVERYONE who was at the Byron Bay RTE, you'rebound to get the right person.
