Our first RTE to Yarck.
« on: May 16, 2016, 10:46:30 AM »
Left around 9:30 on a brilliant morning via Eastlink, Maroondah hwy, Melba hwy, arrived Yarck about 11:45, seeing no members had arrived yet we we rode on to checkout our lodging for the night at Glenfield cottage. Rode back to Yarck hotel about 12:20 and found a line of STs parked opposite and members in their bright orange club shirts and jackets waiting outside. Parked in line and introduced ourselves to a great welcome from all. We all trouped in when a stream of Harley riders started arriving. Food was good and the company was great. After lunch took some photos and said goodbye to all. Rode back to our cottage. Had a pleasant relaxed evening. Sunday was another brilliant day. Rode up to Ruffys taking Trrip Trrip road which is a dirt road. Was pleasantly surprised how well the ST handled in the dirt, much better than the Deauville. From Ruffys we took the Hume fwy back home. A great weekend. Thanks again to Marcus for organising this RTE.

Hi all bit late but never say never, nice rice thru to Yarck, left home (Bayswater) at 1030 for an easy ride thru the spur onto Alex and lunch arriving 1220? Think its about 150 k`s from my joint. Rather good gathering outside the booza. Met some new faces and many regulars, always a pleasure to catch up with. David, Jonathon and Vera, were a pleasure to meet, although I am a bit of a slow starter with the meet and greets sometimes;. Lunch was great and decided to run the spur on the way home to Healesville onto Woori Yallock and home,.Nice day great people and surroundings..Bring on the next RTE.............................Dont forget the RTE to Paringa SA next month. At this stage I`m planning an o`night at the van park. Good op to get out and check out the scenery////Be good all.........Nigel :wht11
