Unusual Request to members.

I have an unusual request to members who have ridden with me on OzSTOC rides and ask for your support.
On my way to the 2016 OzSTOC National Rally in Perth this year I received my first traffic infringement notice on my ST and over 150,000k's , in fact the first in 25 yrs at least. The details of which are mentioned in a number of posts on this forum if you don't already know about it.
I am asking for OzSTOCer's to write a character reference for me to establish to the magistrate in SA to show him/her of my general riding abilities and manner in which I conduct myself on the roads.
Also I would appreciate anyone that I spoke to within a few days after the 8/3/2016 about the ticket I received if you can write down what you remember about the conversation, how I described the event to show that I have maintained my recollection of what happened and how I portrayed it to you.
I am not in any way denying that I was travelling at 120kph that day in a 110 zone, on a slight downhill gradient, what  I am contesting is the speed that the officer claimed 131kph, which puts me into a much higher fine and demerit class $789 and 6 points.

ummm, which would be easiest to print out when I buy a printer tomorrow.. I's not very computer'ised edumacated.. thanks for this ,,Shiney

I'll send it as an attachment as it will be the easiest for printing and reading.

If you have any issues just let me know and I'll send it as a plain email (or call Kev he's a whiz at computers and is always keen to help )

As far as the silence, it is most likely that the majority of the people you spoke to about the incident (while at the Rally) simply don't remember well enough to be able to provide a statement (it was a while ago)
I thought you might get some character references but I guess you haven't

One thing to remember with a request like this, some people may not want to have anything to do with the courts/Police etc. or just don't feel comfortable providing statements.
Then again they may have just forgotten about this post even if they had the full intention of assisting
(A few times I've had the full intention of replying to some posts but got distracted with things/work and forgotten until someone revived the topic a few days later)

Or maybe you ride differently when around the other guys   (joking. I'm sure you don't)

Anyway I hope the revival of this topic reminds some of the guys to reply (if they feel comfortable doing so) with a character reference if not a statement.

Shiney Thank You for providing the statement you gave me. Fortunately I didnt have to submit it to the courts.
The matter is finalised now so I no longer require 'Character Reference' or Statements from members.
I appreciate that most wouldnt have wanted to be invovled in a police/.court matter and respect everyone's decision not to be involved.
Stranger and I will now ensure we dont get into a predicament that would require such a request in the future.
MATTER CLOSED!
