Hi from Esperance WA
« on: February 08, 2018, 10:08:32 PM »
Hello. seriously considering the 1100 or the 1300. My last tourer was a 2010 Kawasaki Voyager, nice bike but slow and very heavy. There is a st1100 in town for sale with 58k on her in not bad nick, might take it for a run tomorrow. Currently I have a KTM525, ZX9R Ninja and M109R.
Not sure on the 1100 I think the 1300 would be nicer but will see soon.
Ride safe guy's

Hi Lowfly, and another welcome to OzSTOC from SA.    :hatwave

You won;t have any trouble finding good deals on a ST1300, which is the more recent version of the bike.    In the meantime, here's a link to discussions over ST1100 vs ST1300.  http://ozstoc.com/index.php?topic=6704.msg76240#msg76240

Hi Lowfly,

One of the features I loved on my ST1300 was the electrically adjustable windscreen.

I went from a 650 Cruiser to the ST and couldn't have been happier.

Sorry about the the reply's guy's, had a death in the family and work has been nuts.
Thanks for the welcome make me feel at home.
Still haven't had a chance to take it for a spin yet and not likely to for at least another week bugger it. have read heaps on them so far and so keen to go for a spin, any one using the stealth back rest from pirates lair on the 1300, if so the do you think as I don't want a top box.
Cheers.
