Phew... I'm glad this isn't a thread about an off.

Only problem with older bike spares is that you are buying 1996 parts which could be worn out or ready to fail. Have just had to order a new ignition switch assy. for my 1996 ST1100 due to wear and tear in the mechanism and a wire coming off the terminal inside the switch. would be ok for plastic or similar parts.

Cheers,

I've just donated a 2000 ST1100P and a 2002 ST1100 to Joe's Motorcycles (& wreckers), Fyshwick, ACT.
The motor on the 2000 ST1100P needs work.
The 2002 ST1100P should be OK as the last ride I had on it was one with Saaz.
I retired it when I bought an ST1300.
The ST1300 also ended up in the wreckers when it was written off.
I also donated a Yamaha XJ900 motor that I was keeping in the garage to do up when I retired.
I've been retired for 7 years so it was time to let it go.
