Queensland day
« on: June 06, 2012, 06:54:18 PM »
Happy Queensland day!  You lot have been unusually quiet abot this great event.  I mean..separation from NSW is somehting to celebrate.   :hatwave  What have you done since then  :think1

Celebrate Queensland
Each year we host Queensland Week to celebrate Queensland's official separation from New South Wales.

On 6 June 1859, Queen Victoria signed the Letters Patent, authorising Queensland's separation, and confirming its status as an independent colony. This day—6 June—is now known as Queensland Day.

In 2012, Queensland Week will be held from 2–11 June 2012.

For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott
