As mentioned in the original planning thread, I had dinner here last Friday, and the new ownership has mucked it. The menu is changing, and that should be finished by July, but at the moment some things are no longer available, including the pork belly that used to be good. The kitchen is now being run by Indians apparently, and most of the menu is now deep fried, and not well. The rest is as bad. I had a supposed lamb steak that was more fat than meat, and looked to be a thick fore-quarter chop with the bone removed. It came with two kinds of potatoes- about a dozen over-cooked chips, and mash that was almost hard, and a salad bar with three salads in it.
The locals think that the Maitland might be a better bet.
