At what point do we overtake other User Clubs?
« on: March 20, 2013, 09:07:31 PM »
With the ever increasing number of ST riders that belong to OzSTOC, the thought occurs to me, at what point does our membership number approach or overtake other famous OzSTOC clubs in other places in the world? Anyone any idea? because I think it would be fascinating to find out and then compare the total population in the country with the total number of ST riders, and work out either a percentage or a ratio. What does anyone else think?

 o:) :think1 o:)

Hmmm. I answered my own question. Australia has a percentage of ST members of the total population of Australia at 0.00168% (386 ST-owners out of a population of 22,953,076 people), whilst the US for example has a percentage of 0.00554% (17,507 ST-owners out a population of 315,521,000 people)...does any country really have a population of more than 315 Million?????? and it's just about the same size as Aus!!! even though they seem to think it takes up more than half the surface of the world!... where do they all sit???

We may be ahead of old Blighty and her 56,000,000 inhabitants, though I can't find info on ST Club Membership numbers.

FWIW, the Kawasaki GTR-AUS site is very active and has an annual run.  There are actually two Kawasaki 1000/1400 forums- some factional fight or whatever...
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott
