I need my faith restored. My son had his house broken into on Friday night as they slept. Stole their car and his missus handbag which contained keys for their house, keys for a business premises and a key for our house. The crooks tried to make a number of purchases at a shopping centre first thing Saturday morning with the stolen credit cards, about 20k north of them. They then left the area in a cab, once again trying to use the stolen credit card. I would have thought a simple phone call to the cab company by the police would have seen it wrapped up within hours. However they did not follow up on this simple bit of detective work. On Sunday, the thieves rang my son a couple of times on his mobile from their mobile offering the handbag back in exchange for a reward. My son did a simple google search on the number and had the persons name and address within a few seconds. He passed this information on to the investigating police. The police confirmed the information that he had given them and said that they were known to police. They said they would pay them a visit on Monday. Seriously. This happened Friday night and they now know who the perpetrators are and where they live. I'm sorry. I just don't get it.
These people no doubt live off of the taxes we hard working people pay, then they think they have the right to break into your house and steal more of your hard earned.
