replacment ST1300 windscreens

Winston66,    :hatwave :    :runyay

My new white ride  2006 model went for its first country jaunt today, just a short one ,around the block and out to a local beach for a coffee for the driver and then back home 55k's
The thing runs well and is nice and smooth but I get the impression that its fuel economy is at least 10 to 15% better than the red one. a 2003 model.
I think that the larger screen on the red one probably knocks the consumption a tad , It has a new V Stream that I got direct from the USA as I wanted the comfort of the wind blocking especially on some long rides. It has the fixed screen only.
Question, can I get an OEM or similar screen as a replacement , would like a tinted one, Black or dark Grey, as a fitment for the electrical adjust. On the newer ride?
I tend to suffer a little from the extra bright sunlight that we get here in the unpolluted west, and
I figure that a tint incorporated into the screen could help to relieve this problem for me .

Anyone got anyy thoughts on this one?

Cheers , winston66

Unless you like looking through the screen when you ride it's not going to help in any way. I always ride with my screen at the lowest level unless I hit rain, then I raise it until I can just see over it, I hate looking through it! I have a tinted visors fitted to my helmets and that works for me, they're not legal to ride with at night but I never ride at night due to the excessive number of wildlife on our country roads after dark.  :eek
There are many paths to the top of the mountain.....but we all need to find our own way!

Fuel economy is definately better with a white bike, certainly much better than red bikes, and they're so very much faster, though Biggles might not agree! :rofl
