Very interesting - I wonder if it's the reverse for countries that drive on the Right hand side of the road?
I acknowledge hardworking Australians no matter who they are or where they come from. All those who have contributed to this wonderful country deserve an equal share of gratitude for their contributions. To single any group of individuals out for special homage only denigrates the rest of us.

With results like that, you wouldn't want to wear an open face helmet, that's for sure.

34.6% of hits in that area!

I still love my Shoei RJ Platinum R open face at certain times, just not the times when I might land on my chin. If i'd have had a guess, I would have thought the highest incidents of impact would have been right between those 2 frontal areas, and the two just behind them, however there is a big difference in the numbers between the very front and very rear on each side. Hmmmm

Logically, that would account for the difference, and so ours would be reversed.

Intuitively one tends to think in terms of "landing on your head" but that appears to be rare, and the "smack in the face" seems to be highly probable.
I read a few accounts where the rider was very grateful for the chin bar.  It even makes me a little wary of tip-up helmets, even though they claim their locking mechanism is strong enough.

For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Staying to rethink my old Nolan open face with visor helmet. But it is so hard to drink with a full face... Hahahaha

Although probably easier in the long run than drinking without a chin / lower jaw.

Any time I've ever been fined (usually for carelessness regarding my forward precipitation), it's never been good.     :'(

Must be the reason I`ve always worn full face, whether on the dirt or on the black stuff!  :wht11
