G'day all,
I can't go this year, but if anyone within range of PI is bored this weekend, I can only highly recommend this event, held the same time every year. This years big drawcard is a visit from the legend himself, McPint, AKA John McGuinnes of Isle of Man fame. There heaps of other stars there are well, both national and international, and far anyone who's never been to PI or to a classic bike race, be prepared to enjoy yourself.

You can ride right around the circuit fence and pick your own perfect spectating spot, and watch the slow, the fast, the famous and the battlers doing their best on machinery that are just wonderful to see and hear running. Also be prepared for some bikes that are not too far off the current world superbike times, and a Vincent or two that will make the hairs stand up on your goose-pimples. The pits are open to all, to wonder and mix with the racers and old farts alike.

Disclaimer: I might sound enthusiastic about this, but I am in no way related or have any interests in this event and the organisers; I'm enthused because it is a great event and one of the best opportunities to see some real racing going on. Damn, I wish I was on the way now!
