A typical Sunday for Streak...
« on: March 02, 2014, 03:14:44 PM »
Well today started out at 5.30am with my wonderful wife waking me for a Sunday Walk....

you know a gentle 5k walk she says, be good for us she says.....so we get to the Bridal Track in north Toowoomba.

I am thinking cool that's not to hard, do that easy......

Get Halfway feeling good this is not to bad, enjoying the time with my wife, even the happy halfway photo

Another 500m around the Corner and this is what appears....and look at my loving wife saying "come on its not that bad!"

The end result of a gentle 5km walk with my wife is the below....Thank you Teela for the wonderful photo of me leaping for joy we had finished!

Needless to say Teela drove home, while i stopped my heart from exploding out of my chest!

but i perked up when i decided only one way to feel Better!! TA DA!!

Suddenly the world looked like this and all is well!

And whats this? I found this Random ST1300 Parked in Forest Hill just near the Cafe 4342...

And look who i found inside!! it is Diesel Operated for sure!!!

and what can i say the Scrambled Eggs in this Cafe are to DIE for, they where awesome!

After good Coffee, much planning for 2014, and some very bad jokes we headed for the Esk Bakery, where we wanted to check out their renovations (and the coffee), we swapped bikes and spend an hour comparing the ST1100 to the ST1300, and we where both surprised a little at how little the differences are, but also how differently we have our bikes setup....

Esk Bakery has had a paint job, and had been made more spacious we where really impressed!

and as always the coffee was superb!

so it was a great Little Ride taking in a 190km, on the Flagstone Creek Road, Gatton Esk, and the Esk Hampton, i came home feeling much Better about the world!

So can i go again without getting in trouble?

Not sure I really understand the concept of buying a big bike ...then going for a WALK!?!?!?!, still if that is the way Madam wants to do it what chance do you have of arguing??? answer NONE!!

Fascinating who you come across in the middle of nowhere!! No under the table planning?? Still who cares as long as you enjoy yourself!
Cheers,
Paul

Toowoomba has many great parks and walks, so well worth a go  :thumb

But I think breakfast, riding and coffee runs sounds quite attractive as well  :think1

Walk = worked off 1000 kilojoules
Big Breakfast = gained 1500 kilojoules.
Always good to end the day in credit!     :grin
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott
