Wanted: ST1300 Plastic Crash guards + Rubber fearing insert
« on: August 05, 2014, 12:04:20 PM »
Hi all,

I'm after good condition crash guards for both sides and also the LHS rubber insert that goes near your knees on the fearing.

See attachment for what I mean...

Cheers, Dave

The tip-over covers are surprisingly affordable new.  Have a look through the Oz and US suppliers.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

apparently the piece you are missing from the wind deflector are a bit difficult to obtain as a single replacement item.  You might consider chasing around for a damaged bike that may have a set installed or purchase the complete deflector.

There is a mod you can do  that stops the small piece dislodging and falling out.  you may like to do a search for that one too

Thanks everyone

Found the crash guard plastics for reasonably cheap but the wind deflector is $485 each with a discount !!

If anyone knows of a 1300 being wrecked somewhere, please let me know.

I've got a wrecked one, but unfortunately, this was the only bit that I actually lost off the bike after it went down, so unfortunately, I can't help :whistle

If you still need the crash guard plastics (Tip Over Covers) I have a pair that you can have for the cost of the postage. I've just fitted a pair of MCL Highway Blades, and the OEM Tip Over Covers are therefore surplus to my requirements.  They are marked on the underside, but it's not visible unless you are underneath  the bike.

I have a complete set of lower deflectors and even a LHS upper wind deflector. Unfortunately the RHS mirror took off one day so I lost the deflector for that side, so decided to remove all the upper and lower deflectors.
PM me if you are interested
