About replacing bonnet/boot struts
« on: August 02, 2014, 03:19:43 PM »
Today I had a new lesson in life……how to replace the starts in my car (sorry no incriminating pics); front ones were easy. The boot pair, well that's a different story.

I had Lefty (that's my one armed daughter Louise - she broke her right arm couple of weeks back) giving me a hand.
She held the boot lid up while I removed the old struts, but complained when the lid dropped on her head  :grin (I shouldn't laugh :crackup as she was holding the torch),
but then I had to crawl into the boot to replace the old with the new  :p….Lefty has now discovered how the mafia get rid off the bodies until I complained "It's dark in here"

The left one when in well, so did the right until I found out I'd replaced the old right with the old left  :||||

Anyway long story short, it opens and stays open easier quite well now.

In time you may see me trying to climb out of the boot on Funniest Home Videos as all this took place out on the street where I live - someone's bound to have been watching  :grin
