Although there is no doubt that my car was physically exceeding the speed limit, there is a minor issue in the fact that at the time the photo was taken of my errant vehicle, it was actually on the back of a tow truck (clearly visible in the two photos they sent), subsequent to an accident my wife had been involved in earlier that day."

Speeding riders who have a bike trailer beware... Qld police will issue two tickets!

In 1978, a Traffic infringement notice was posted to me at a Whyalla address by the S.A. Police. Seems it is illegal to park my Valiant in a school zone in Adelaide, South Australia at 3 pm on a Thursday....... irrespective of the fact that I had not resided at the S.A. address the mail was sent to since 1969, and the verifiable fact that I have never owned or registered a Valiant.  It went to court, and I was fined $180 for contempt, (failing to appear) plus the traffic fine, plus court costs, for not responding...But I didn't even receive the summons. Understandable, as I had been living in Melbourne since 1976 and was in New Zealand on a three month Army exercise at the time of the offence (with the time zone difference, I was actually on a night guard duty... verified by the army, and 2000 miles away) ... I gave that one to the Army Solicitors to sort out, which they did, at no cost to me.
